“Smell the Wild Roses” as you explore Muttontown Preserve’s fields and trails on a two hour guided tour with a naturalist. View the many varieties of roses in full bloom, including the Multiflora Rose. Also, examine the many aromatic varieties of wildflowers, including Autumn Olive, Honeysuckle and Buttercups, which line the wooded trails and surround the sense with their fragrance.

Musical Cuisine
Chamber Players International celebrates the music of Mendelssohn and Beethoven at a brunch/concert featuring members of the New York Philharmonic. This program includes Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio in D minor (presented in celebration of the composer’s 200th birthday) and Beethoven’s Piano Trio Op 1, No. 1. Violinist Anna Rabinova performs with fellow NYP member Qiang Tu, cello, and pianist Tatiana Goncharova.

Very Good Years
Renowned composer and Long Islander Ervin Drake is honored at a 90th birthday tribute concert,“Very Good Years”, presented by Hofstra Entertainment. Hear many of his greatest hits, including, “It Was a Very Good Year,”(made famous by Frank Sinatra), “Tico-Tico,” “Al Di La,” “Perdido,” “Quando, Quando,Quando,” “I Believe,” and “Good Morning Heartache.” Guest vocalists include Broadway veteran and cabaret star KT Sullivan and actor John Gabrieland, accompanied by a six-person ensemble .
