Senator John Brooks to host job fair in Freeport

The step of waiting for a manager of a company to call back to set up a job interview can be skipped next, Thursday, May 11 when the office of New York State Senator, John Brooks hosts a job fair in Freeport. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Freeport Recreation Center, 130 E. Merrick Rd. in Freeport, local employers will be easily accessible for face-to-face meetings.

The job fair is will be held to connect the Freeport community with local employers and help create career opportunities. An array of employers will interview talented job seekers onsite. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring their cover letters and resumes, which may be reviewed by hiring decision-makers. There is no need to customize a personal statement for each company, as the event offers the opportunity to tell employers why the prospective employee should be hired.
