South Side alumni to host reorganization cocktail party

The South Side High School Alumni Association will host a cocktail party on May 17 at MacArthur Park Restaurant and Pub, 1 Maple Ave., from 8 - 10 p.m., with an open bar and hors d’oeuvres. Organizers are hoping for a nice turnout so that they can get members to join in restructuring the association.

The South Side High School Alumni Association currently awards two scholarships yearly, sponsors a Senior Class Brunch the morning of graduation, gives graduating Seniors a CD that chronicles their high school experience and participates in the annual fall Homecoming at the high school. In past years it has also produced and disseminated a newsletter three times a year, but that has been on hold for the past year. Organizers say they would like the association to do more, or at very least maintain its events and presence, but they need your help!
