Margaret Mansfield is an experienced and talented staff member at South Side Middle School.

In addition to working as a teacher aide and key person in the computer lab, she is the school’s webmaster. Mansfield has expanded on her talents in photography and her photo of Brookside Creek in Baldwin was chosen for the Town of Hempstead’s

2012 calendar., making her eligible for the

town’s Shutterbug Award.

Mansfield received the award on May 10 from Town of Hempstead Supervisor Kate Murray during a ceremony at Hempstead Town Hall. Mansfield’s colleagues at the school say they’re very proud of her.
