Elmont's future A meeting to discuss the future of Elmont will take place on Thursday, April 28, at the American Legion Hall, 60 Hill Avenue in Elmont, beginning at 7:30pm. It is free. Players wanted The Carey Icehawks have now become the Sewanhaka Central High School District Icehawks. We have been in existence in Carey HS since 2001. Any 5th - 11th grade student who is districted for either Sewanhaka High School, New Hyde Park, High School, Elmont Hisch School, Floral park High School, and H. Frank Carey are eligible to participate. We play in the Long Island High School Hockey League of Nassau County. The Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence will present their eighth annual "A Taste of Long Island" sponsored by the Cavit Collection and Bank of America on Monday, January 10, 2005, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Carltun in Eisenhower Park, East Meadow.
