Get your green on Larry Moser and Mary Nagin of Fiddler's Green perform a repertoire of dulce tunes from the Appalachian Mountains and New England shores, to the festive ballads and dances of the English, Irish, and Baltic countries. Tickets are required for this concert at 2 p.m. on March 11.

Simply stronger Join Marilyn Bunger as she leads a special exercise class on how to build muscular strength. Bring hand weights, soup cans or 16oz. water bottles at 10:30 a.m. on March 14, 21 and 28.
Senior tax assistance An AARP representative will provide free tax preparation assistance for seniors. Reservations will be scheduled 30 minutes apart. No walk-ins permitted. Seniors availing themselves of this service should bring a copy of last year's taxes with them on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on April 10.
Book talk The Adult Book Club will discuss Virginia Woolf's "A Room of One's Own² at 7 p.m. on March 19.
Boating safety This two-day course given by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will be held from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on March 24 and 31. The course covers boating safety, legal requirements, boat handling, aids to navigation, knots and "rules of the road." The course also satisfies all requirements for operating a PWC. Upon completion of this course, certificates will be awarded which may result in a discount on your boat insurance policy. Winter road trips Winter blues have you down? Need a change of pace? Join the JCC for exciting day trips this March.
n March 14: The Orchid Show at the New York Botanical Gardens. Fee is $87. Privately-guided tour of this annual show. Includes lunch at Mario¹s and shopping on Arthur Avenue.
n March 20: Metropolitan Museum of Art Extravaganza. Fee is $68. On-the-bus lecture with art aficionado Louise Cella Caruso, who will discuss the discovery of the Tomb of King Tut; private tour of museum¹s 22 permanent collections; lunch on your own; afternoon tour of special exhibit ³Discovering Tutankhamen: The Photographs of Harry Burton.²

Fundraiser ball Enjoy an evening of dining and dancing at Queen Esther¹s Ball, presented by the Friedberg JCC, at 7 p.m. on March 10. Six Women of Valor will be honored for their contributions to the community: Bonnie Flatow, Jodi Guttenberg, Ilysa Mann, Joyce Pinkiert, Robyn Shapiro and Sheryl Waters. In addition to gourmet food and dancing, guests can participate in silent and live auctions for fabulous prizes. Royal attire is invited and dietary laws observed. Singles meet sophisticates Join Sophisticated Singles for people 35 to 55. The program runs from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Monday. This weekly program gives singles the opportunity to meet one another as well as learn about themselves. The facilitator, Irwin Pfeffer, a motivational speaker with a background in psychology, has been working the singles circuit for many years and has spoken at singles organizations throughout Long Island. Adults connecting If you are an energetic, recently retired adult looking to pursue many interests and develop new avenues for friendship, then attend the Friedberg JCC¹s Adult Connections Club on from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Thursdays.  
Discerning singles 55+ Join the Friedberg JCC each month for their dinner and lecture series for the Discerning Single Adult 55+. It¹s an evening of conversation, humor and advice.
