Linda Ipanema and the Dixie Cats present "A World of Music" on Sunday, Sept. 17. The group features Stan Edwards, and their program will include dixieland jazz, big band swing from the 1940s, polkas, waltzes, '50s rock and roll, duets, and the songs of the great crooners as sung by Edwards. The concert begins at 2 p.m., and audience members are advised to be ready to dance.
Knit and Crochet class beginning on Oct. 4. Angie Gallo will teach beginners, advanced students, or anyone in between. Participants can bring their own materials or choose from a selection provided by Gallo. Classes are limited to 15 students, and cost $1 per session. Ron Gartner in Concert performing the music of the Rat Pack and American Bandstand-style rock and roll at 2 p.m. on Oct. 29. A little bit older, a lot wiser and cooler than some of the young stars on today's music scene, Gartner has tasted enough wine, breathed in enough air from smoke-filled lounges, broken enough hearts and had his broken enough times to be able to warble about a love lost and really mean it.
