St. Anthony’s Preschool in Oceanside celebrated graduation on June 17 for the 4-year-old students moving up to Kindergarten in the fall.
Not able to have their usual ceremony with the children singing songs, they opted for an outdoor celebration. Split into two ceremonies, each graduate waited on a line with one parent, socially distancing, to receive their diploma and take a picture with their teachers.
“This brought a happy ending to a very unsettling and challenging year,” said Evonne DeVivo, aka “Miss Evonne,” one of the two teachers to the 4 year olds.
