To kick off the summer months, the Rockville Centre Conservancy sponsored paddling tours around the lake at Hempstead Lake State Park.
Residents were able to come down on June 1 and rent either a kayak or canoe and paddle around the lake, the largest in Nassau County.
Everyone was able to enjoy the beautiful weather, and the proceeds went to the Conservancy.
