Kids at Covert Elementary School were cutting a rug last week when the school held its annual Mad Hot Ballroom in the school gym on Dec. 4.
Students in the fourth grade — 65 in total —spent 20 weeks learning various ballroom dances.
Parents watched as their children danced the Merengue, the Foxtrot, the Tango and more.
The event was not only a fun evening for families, but also a fundraiser for the Raymar Children’s Fund, which works with the PTA to help provide enrichment programs to Covert children and families.
The students were taught by the teachers at Dancing Classrooms LI.
