The best thing about Bolden is what he stood for. Even after graduating, he would reach out for every birthday, holiday, and just always to keep in touch. He taught me so much about the game of basketball since middle school when he started coaching me.
--Nicolette Manella, class of 2019
Coach Bolden was firm when needed to be but he had an incredible sense of humor. He could and definitely did not shy away from teasing players and Coach Cat. His smile and laughter will be missed tremendously.

I was blessed to have Anthony Bolden as a coach/mentor. He was so passionate in athletics, and he loved and was always extremely supportive of all his Baldwin athletes. The Baldwin gym will never be the same but his vibrant spirit will live on forever.
--Amber Harrison, class of 2012
Coach Bolden made up one half of the greatest coaching duo in my life. He was more than a coach, he was family. The void can never be filled. I am so grateful to have had the bond growth, and memories with coach Bolden lasting all these years beyond high school. Words cannot express the eternal love that radiates from the love he has given to us.
-Alex Hampton, Class of 2012
The team was playing in the state championships at the time, and coach Bolden called for us for a meeting. We sat down in one of the meeting rooms in the hotel and waited. Ten minutes later, Bolden and Cat came running through dressed up as some of the girls, started acting out things we did and acted how we acted. They wanted us to have a good laugh before playing this game and for us to remember to just have fun with it.

I am so grateful that I was able to have a coach like Bolden. He has been coaching me all my life and has taught me so many lessons as a player. Coach Bolden always taught me to be a competitor, in sports and in life. I will miss him so much. It’s heartbreaking that he isn’t going to be here anymore, but I know that he will always be watching over our Bruin family.
--Kaia Harrison, class of 2019
Bolden has always been the type of person who pushes you past your limits, but in a way that fits for you. He never compared any of his players to anyone else and always treated us like family. You always need someone like Bolden in your corner. He would want me to continue to live out my dream, so that is what I am going to do with him in the forefront of my mind every single game.
--Donnetta Johnson, class of 2018
My fondest memory was when one night we just finished practice around 8:30pm. I wanted to stay after to work on my free throws, and I wasn’t going to leave until I made 10 in a row. I must have hit 8 and missed the 9th shot at least three times and missed on the 10th twice. With every miss I got frustrated, but Coach Bolden remained calm and continued encouraging me that I could do it. I finally got 10 in a row and he was so happy for me.
