Summer�s underway (despite the rain) and that means the summer concert season has begun. In these budget-conscious times, you don�t have to travel too far to find enjoyable entertainment, much of it free. It�s all available at area parks.
So spread out a blanket, have a picnic or dance under the stars. Bring the kids, bring some friends. You'll find a variety of performances, with a smattering of theater thrown in, for all ages and tastes.

Summer Movie Festival
Also at Eisenhower Park, throughout July and August, movie buffs can enjoy free outdoor showings of some favorite classic and family films, on Thursdays. July features "Paul Bart Mall Cop" on July 9; �Madagascar 2 � Escape to Africa� on July 16; �Fast and Furious� on July 23; with the �Wizard of Oz� on July 30. In August, see �Mamma Mia� on Aug. 6; �Back to the Future� on Aug. 13; �The Mummy� on Aug. 20; and finally, �Iron Man"�on Aug. 27.
All programs begin at 7:30 p.m. at Eisenhower Park�s Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre, located between Parking Fields 6 and 6A. Movies start at dusk.
