The Dr. Santo Barbarino Scholarship Fund Corporation hosted its inaugural golf outing on Monday at the Inwood Country Club. In the spring, the organization handed out three $1,500 scholarships to Lynbrook High School graduating seniors.

The event began at 10:30 a.m. with a brunch and registration. Thirty-two golf foursomes teed off starting at noon, and more than 100 additional people attended a reception that started at 6 p.m.

“The event was a huge success,” said Chris Barbarino, Santo Barbarino’s nephew and one of the event organizers. “The response, the turnout, the donations, the support, left my family and the organization in awe. It was a great experience.”
