Every Monday night I'd think, I'll go tomorrow.' Then every Tuesday night, I'd think, I'm tired...and it's a really long drive next week.' Needless to say, I never got there.
Then recently I started seeing listings for psychic fairs...many of them right here in Rockville Centre. And much to my delight, I found out that Janet Russell was the woman behind them.
Janet is not only a psychic, she's a medium and a spiritual advisor, as well as a TV host on one of New York's top cable access programs Beyond the Unexplained. She lectures on paranormal/psychic experiences, she's done numerous radio and TV shows all over the world she even had a three hour TV special in Japan.
For the past forty years, she's been seeing into the future. She worked with the police on the Katie Beers kidnapping, helping lead private investigators to the area that Katie was being held.
She has made many predictions, one of them sadly being the flight 800 tragedy. Not only did she predict this horror, but she was also an eyewitness to it.
Perhaps eeriest of all, Janet was in the World Trade Center a few months prior to 9/11 with a family member and was so shaken up by the feelings of danger, in that location, that she actually ran out of the building.
After a near death experience in 1993, she became much more open to communication with people who had passed over. If a spirit wants to come through they will if they don't they won't, she says matter of factly. I am, sometimes, amazed with the information I receive.
Janet considers her psychic abilities a gift and likes to give back to the community. I never charge admission to my fairs, she says proudly. I just ask for donations of food for food banks in the local areas. I do a lot of charity events. I definitely believe in giving back.
When you attend one of Janet's fairs, you meet her at the door, where you're given fliers about her psychic readers. I have about 20 of them and they're all experts, she says. Then the people choose the reader that they want. It's $25 for a 15-minute reading...of course if someone's not happy with their reader, they can tell me after five minutes and see someone else. Most of the time we have vendors selling different metaphysical items, like crystals. We have lectures on numerology, psychology, psychic development, astrology, or spirit communication. Hundreds of people show up for these fairs each week.
People all over Long Island sing Janet's praises, including Pat who said, Janet told me that my daughter was pregnant and two days later my daughter called...and lo and behold she was pregnant. Julie, from Oceanside, said, I saw Janet two years ago, when I wanted to purchase a house. She told me the exact place I would get it and that it would practically be handed to me. Well, two years later I am living in that house. Her accuracy amazes me even today. She also said that my mom's spirit would be in this house and yes, it is here with us.
Toni said, Janet told me that I would not need an operation on my ankle, after I had already made an appointment to have the surgery. So, I changed doctors and the new doctor said I didn't need the operation, after all. Janet was right!
And Janet form New Hyde park said, I had a reading with Janet in September 2001. She told me that I would change my job and work on Long Island. That did not seem possible at the time, but as of the end of last month, I will be working on Long Island. Janet is remarkable!
