A Bay Shore woman was arrested and charged with one count of rape in the third degree and one count of criminal sexual act in the third degree for driving an underaged male student to the Capri Motel on Freer Street in Lynbrook and engaging in sexual relations with the victim, said police. The incident occurred on March 19.
According to the Special Victims Squad detectives, Tara Driscoll 33, of Anna Street, Bay Shore — who is a New York City school teacher — drove a male student under the age of 17 to the Capri Motel at 5 Freer Street Lynbrook. While at the motel the defendant engaged in sexual relations with the teen.
Driscoll surrendered to detectives and was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on August 5. The maximum sentence if convicted, can be up to four years in prison. Her next court date is set for August 15. Her attorney is Virginia Lopreto of New York City.
