For the fourth consecutive year a surfboard was custom-made and donated to the Long Beach Polar Bear Club to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Romig and Kane families made the board. Shannon Romig and Billy Kane helped raise over $2,100 by selling raffles during the Super Bowl Sunday splash on Feb. 7, as well as in the weeks leading up to the event. The faculty staff and students from Long Beach High School were instrumental in helping them by purchasing more than $400 worth of raffles. Patrick Piazza won the board.
