A Merrick teenager was arrested early Sunday morning on May 14 and charged with violating Nassau County’s social host law and resisting arrest, according to police.
Police allege that James Valle, 19, served alcohol to several people under the age of 21 at his Camp Avenue home at about 2 a.m. Responding to a noise complaint, police arrived at the home and observed the teenagers consuming the alcohol, according to officials.
Valle produced identification and allegedly retreated into his house, refusing to leave. When he did come out, officers attempted to arrest him, and police allege that he violently flailed his arms and kicked the officers several times. He was eventually placed into custody, and parents of the other youths came to the house to pick up their children. No injuries were reported.
Valle was charged with violating the social host law and resisting arrest. He was arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
Valle was conditionally released to probation. He is due back in court on June 14.
