In the Valley Stream burglary, Erik W. Boesch, 41, of 84 South Waldinger St. in Valley Stream, entered his neighbor's house Tuesday night through an unlocked door, police said. Boesch was in the process of taking a wallet and cash from the dining room when a resident of the home found him. The officer recognized Gorman from a previous arrest and after going on duty, was informed of a burglary call from a storage shed at the church at 1142 Broadway in Hewlett. It was learned that a red scooter was stolen from the shed.
After police got permission to search Gorman's home, the scooter was recovered and Gorman was placed under arrest at 10:35 a.m., police said.
