Thousands of Town of Hempstead residents have made an eco-friendly choice by disposing of hundreds of tons of unwanted electronic items during the Town of Hempstead’s E-cycling events. E-cycling keeps toxic material such as lead, mercury and arsenic from entering the waste stream. In addition, electronic products are made of precious metals, engineered plastics, glass and other materials, which may be profitably refurbished and reused.
