Video game night at the library

Teenagers in grades six through 12 can play popular games, such as “Super Smash Brothers Brawl” at the Henry Waldinger Memorial Library on April 6, at 6 p.m. Registration is required, with preference given to Valley Stream library cardholders.

Computer classes at the library

The Henry Waldinger Memorial Library will be offering three computer classes on April 7. The first class will cover e-mail basics, such as sending and receiving attachments, setting up folders and organizing emails. It will be from 10 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. The second class will be on making columns and tables on Microsoft Word, and will be held from 11-11:55 a.m. The third class will be an introduction to Microsoft Excel, held from 12 -1 p.m. Registration is required.

Free health education at the Elmont library

The Nassau University Medical Center Breast and Prostate Cancer Screening and Educational Program will be held at the Elmont Memorial Library on April 11 at 1 p.m., to teach guests about breast and prostate cancers and how to screen for them.
