Police say the first robbery occurred on June 19 after the store closed. Using his key and security code, Fields allegedly walked into the video store and took cash from the safe. He then reset the alarm and walked out.
Next up, police say Fields walked into the store before closing on July 1. Hiding under a table until everyone left, he returned to safe for another alleged withdrawal.
The third time, police say Fields turned violent. After threatening the lives of two young employees, Fields allegedly returned to the safe once again on July 20 shortly before the store was to close.
Bureau of Special Operations Police Officers Alejandro Perez and John Vaughan caught up with Fields near his home and arrested him on July 22. He is charged with two counts of third degree burglary one (1) count of third degree robbery. He was arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead July 23.
