This Oma wants to serve you sushi

Apparently, oma’s specialty has switched from Israeli-style grill specialties to Asian fare.

Just last month, Oma’s Grill on Hempstead Avenue closed its doors after only a year’s run of serving schnitzel, falafel and other items.

Recently, however, the awning on the building was changed to show that the oma will still be cooking for area residents — but her specialty now is sushi.

According to the website, YeahThatsKosher.com, it is not certain when the new restaurant will open, but we’ll be watching, waiting and hoping the sushi is as good as oma’s shawarma.
