Wall collapses on workers

Three workers were injured on Monday, one seriously, when high-walled shelving they were building inside a factory at 340 Hendrickson Avenue in Lynbrook collapsed. 

Two of the workers had back and leg injuries, while the third had serious trauma to hia head. The Lynbrook Fire Department’s Emergency Medical Company, under the command of Chief Raymond Burke, responded to the scene at 5 p.m. with two ambulances, and found the workers sprawled around the floor. 

Firefighters and EMS personnel stabilized the injured and put them on stretchers. The two with back and leg injuries were transported to Mercy Hospital while the trauma victim was transported to South Nassau Community Hospital.
