The Nassau County Police Department and the Oceanside Fire Department responded to a car accident on Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside on Nov. 23. The OFD used the Jaws of Life to free the driver, who was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The car was going in circles in the area. Hadrick Ray was driving by in his tow truck and said a man was trying to get in the window of the moving car but could not. Ray, a volunteer firefighter in Long Beach, used his tow truck and tossed its chain under the car to stop it.
