Now I'm taking my own advice. Having just returned from vacation with a head cold, I'm fully aware that a foggy mind and a stuffed nose does not make for vibrant writing. Hence, I know it's the better choice to leave you with words of wisdom from other writers and philosophers. "When your schedule leaves you brain-drained and stressed to exhaustion, it's time to give up something. Delegate. Say no. Be brutal. It's like cleaning out a closet - after a while, it gets easier to get rid of things. You discover that you really didn't need them anyway." - Marilyn Ruman"Creative minds have always been known to survive any kind of bad training." - Anna Freud"What really matters is what you do with what you have." - Shirley Lord"You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it." - Margaret Thatcher"Millions long for immortality who don't know what to do on a rainy afternoon." - Susan Ertz"People change and forget to tell each other." - Lillian Hellman"I have not ceased being fearful, but I have ceased to let fear control me. I have accepted fear as a part of life - specifically the fear of change, the fear of the unknown; and I have gone ahead despite the pounding in my heart that says turn back, turn back, you'll die if you venture too far." - Erica Jong"I love people. I love my family, my children, but inside myself is a place where I live all alone and that's where you renew your springs that never dry up." - Pearl S. Buck"Some people seem as if they can never have been children and others seem as if they could never be anything else." - George Prentice"May your every wish be granted." Ancient Chinese Curse"Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion." - Parkinson's Law"Nobody sees a flower really; it is so small. We haven't time, and to see takes time - like to have a friend takes time." - Georgia O'Keefe"Power is the ability not to have to please." - Elisabeth Janeway"It's useless to hold a person to anything he says while he's in love, drunk or running for office." - Shirley MacLaine"Nine-tenths of our suffering is caused by others not thinking so much of us as we think they ought." - Mary Lyon"Life is what we make it, always has been, always will be." - Grandma Moses"Life's under no obligation to give us what we expect." - Margaret Mitchell.
