Four young adults and one child were injured on at about 10 p.m. on March 24 when two vehicles collided at Sunrise Highway and Vincent Avenue. Lynbrook police and firefighters responded to the scene.
Four of those injured were stabilized at the scene and transported by ambulances from the Lynbrook Fire Department's Emergency Medical Company and an ambulance from the East Rockaway Fire Department to South Nassau Hospital. One of those injured refused hospital treatment. The injuries were not serious.
According to police, one vehicle was on Vincent and attempting to cross over Sunrise Highway when it was in a collision with the second vehicle traveling on Sunrise Highway. The highway was closed eastbound for about 45 minutes while the injured were treated and the vehicles were removed.
