Building renovations continue


Jan. 3, contractors began building renovations to the library, starting with the Children's Room. The library remains open during the renovation period, but certain areas of the library may be inaccessible at times. Most programming will be postponed during the renovation, so the library asks patrons to be patient.

Need A Passport? The Town of Hempstead Mobile Passport Services Van will be at the library Wednesday, March 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to process applications. AARP Tax Help every Tuesday morning through Tuesday, April 12. Because the library is going through a complete building renovation, the tax assistance program had to be delayed. Please be advised that AARP Tax Help is available at the Washington Mutual Bank in the Green Acres Mall beginning in February 2005. Federal and NYS income tax forms are available at Village Hall. If a form is not available, a reference librarian can download it from Internet for 10 cents per page or you can print it on your own from home.
