V.S. Book Club to meet at the library in the Children's Room on Tuesday, Dec. 27, from 7 to 8:15 p.m. to discuss "East of Eden," by John Steinbeck. Keynoter Chorale Performs Sunday, Dec. 18, at 8 p.m. at Valley Stream Presbyterian Church, South Central Avenue. The concert is free and all are welcome.


V.S. Hadassah to feature gala Chanukkah party highlighting the staple food of the holiday - potato latkas - at its Dec. 22 meeting. The celebration, scheduled for 1 p.m. at Temple Gates of Zion, 369 North Corona Ave., will also include a movie, "Jews of the South."
