Village ElectionsRinn runs again

Trustee Rinn was first elected in 2001 after a distinguished career in the telecommunications industry and U.S. Navy as well as a variety of leadership positions in village community activities. Over the past four years, Rinn has served as the village board liaison to the police department, senior center and RVC library, among his other responsibilities.
The Concerned Citizens Party invites all village residents to meet Trustee Greg Rinn on Wednesday, May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion on Maple Avenue when the Concerned Citizens Party ratifies the nomination. Home Rule picks Oppenheimer
Home Rule Party President Kevin Akner announced that Edward J. Oppenheimer was nominated by the party to run for village trustee
Akner stated that Oppenheimer is a well qualified candidate who is a very active and dedicated longtime resident of the village. He noted that Oppenheimer is a certified public accountant with an office in the village and is currently serving as a member of the village¹s planning board. He is also an active 26-year firefighter and emergency medical technician with the Floodlight Company of the Rockville Centre Fire Department, and a longtime member of the Citizen¹s Finance Committee that consults with the mayor and village board regarding the annual village budget.
Oppenheimer was elected to the first Nassau County legislature to represent Rockville Centre. He was also elected to serve as a trustee of the Rockville Centre Public Library and as a trustee of the Nassau County Library System. He is currently a member of the board of directors of the Rockville Centre Chamber of Commerce and treasurer of the Rockville Centre Community Fund. Current Village JusticeFrank E. Yannelli has been endorsed by both the Home Rule Party and the Concerned Citizens Party. A practicing attorney since 1964, Yannelli has served as village justice of Rockville Centre since 1982. In addition, he has served the village as prosecutor from 1968 through 1982 and has been a member of the executive board of the Rockville Centre E.O.C. and the Board of Zoning Appeals. He also serves his community as member of the board of directors of Confide Inc. and the Rockville Centre Education Foundation.
Yannelli is the past president of the Nassau County Bar Association, the Nassau County Magistrates¹ Association and the Criminal Court¹s Bar Association. He is the recipient of awards from the Nassau County Court Officers¹ Beneficent Association, Criminal Court¹s Bar Association, Nassau County Bar Association, and the Catholic Lawyer¹s Guild.
Justice Yannelli resides in Rockville Centre with his wife, who is a teacher. They are the parents of three adult boys, Christopher, Michael and Thomas.
The Honorable Frank E. Yannelli was first elected as a village justice in 1982 as a member of the Concerned Citizens party. In subsequent elections, Home Rule and United Taxpayers also endorsed his candidacy for re-election.
