Dwight Hurd, 19, of Brooklyn, whose status has been upgraded to fair, has been charged with attempted murder, assault, burglary, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon for the April 4 incident, which took place at 10-09 Lincoln Place in Brooklyn shortly after 7 p.m.
Hurd apparently drove himself or was dropped off at Mercy Medical Center, where he arrived around 9:15 p.m., and passed out, said police from Nassau County¹s First Squad, who responded to the initial report. In addition to the single bullet wound, Hurd had several scars and cracked vertebrate. Despite his arrest, he remained hospitalized at press time.
Further details of the incident were not immediately available from the New York City Police Department.
