After the prom, some students get in to trouble. But in Oceanside, they go to Warehouse 5 in Island Park.
The annual post-prom party, sponsored by the high school PTA, is a safe place for kids to keep partying after the prom is over, from midnight until 5 a.m.
And there are incentives for the kids to have a safe night: all evening (or morning, as the case may be), prizes are auctioned off to those who are present. Everything from iPod docks to DVD players to television. And the grand prize: a brand new car. This year’s car was won by Ryan Hoffman, pictured at right.
