On stage
Fairies mix it up with mortal politicians in the Gilbert and Sullivan Light Opera Company’s Theater’s staging of “Iolanthe or the Peer and the Peri.” It’s certainly not politics as usual as the affairs of state in fairyland take center stage, the tasty tunes take wing and hilarity takes the day in this snappy political comedy, Friday, 8 p.m., at Landmark on Main Street.
