Wilson Elementary School scrabblers play a one-point game

Posted

On March 24 Wilson Elementary School held the final round of its annual Scrabble Tournament. The 5th grade members of the Scrabble Club, under the supervision of teacher Therese Cohen, played well for many weeks leading up to this culminating activity. The final four players were all girls: the teams of Mae Murray and Grace Feiner and Vanessa Kelly and Victoria Ward played against each other in the final match. Only one point separated the winning team from the runners up. Scrabble-related prize baskets were awarded to the winning team but all tournament players received congratulations.
