Wilson students spring into reading

Posted

Wilson students conducted another successful read-a-thon in March, raising $5,300 and reading almost 40,000 minutes over two weeks. Organizers thanked all who participated and congratulated the following winners who raised the most money in their grade by giving each a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card.

The kindergarten prize went to Madelyn Paul-Moses (not pictured); Jack Roberti won the first grade prize; Natalie Rose the second grade’s, Madeline Roberti the third grade’s; Meghan Barry the fourth’s and Shannon Bender, not pictured, won for the fifth grade.

Freddi Norris’s second grade class logged the most minutes read and won themselves an ice cream party. Fourth grader Russell Scala won the grand prize raffle of a Kindle Fire. Everybody hopes the reading excitement continues throughout the year.
