Knifepoint robbery at Green Acres Mall

A 29-year-old man was robbed at knifepoint at the Green Acres Mall on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Nassau County Police, the man was sitting outside of the Michaela Leather and Fur storm when another man approached him and took the Apple laptop computer he was using. The victim demanded the computer back, but the robber pulled out a kitchen knife and threatened the man. He then fled on foot with the computer toward the parking lot.

The robbery occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Sept. 13.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 20s, 6-foot, a slim build with his hair in a ponytail wearing a blue shirt, gray pants and black shoes.
