Students and staff of the Malverne School District were welcomed back to the new school year after six months of building closures due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With Davison Avenue Intermediate School and Maurice W. Downing Primary School starting Sept. 9, Howard T. Herber Middle School and Malverne High School started its first day on Sept. 10.
Health and safety measures were in place upon their arrival. Malverne Schools Superintendent Dr. Lorna Lewis was on sight to greet students and staff as they entered their respective buildings.
