Resident injured in Valley Stream home invasion

The residents of a west end home in Valley Stream were robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning, and police are seeking two suspects.

According to Nassau County Police, a 23-year-old male who lives at the Ash Street home answered at knock on his side door at 12:05 a.m. on March 28 and was confronted by two men armed with handguns. The men followed him into the house.

Once in the victim's bedroom, one of the robbers held the man and two other family members at gunpoint, while the other robber looked through the room. According to police, one of the robbers hit the 23-year-old male on the side of head with a gun. The victim suffered a cut to his head and was later taken to a local hospital for treatment. There were no other injuries.

Police said the robbers too cash, cell phones, a video game system and a wallet. They left through the side doors and fled in an unknown direction.

The first suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-6, armed with a black and silver handgun. The second suspect is described is a black male, 5-foot-8 and armed with a black handgun. They were both thin, wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black ski masks.
