Robbery in Valley Stream's west end

A Valley Stream resident was robbed outside of the home in the west end last Friday afternoon.
According to Nassau County Police, a 63-year-old woman was sitting outside of her Broadway home in a lawn chair when a man came up from behind the ripped off the gold chains around her neck. The woman attempted to hold on to her chains but was unsuccessful. She suffered some small cuts to her neck.
The suspect is described as a black man with a Jamaican accent, 6-foot, 20 to 30 years old wearing a cream-colored T-shirt and plaid shorts. He fled westbound toward Queens.
