Robbery near North High School

Nassau County Police say three men robbed a group of teenagers near Valley Stream North High School late Wednesday night.

According to police, the teenagers were walking near 750 Herman Ave. in Franklin Square, the address of North High School, when they were approached by three men. The robbers demanded that the teens hand over their possessions.

The teen victims, all ages 16 and 17, and handed over a Blackberry cell phone, iPhone and personal papers. The robbers then fled on foot in an unknown direction.

No one was injured. The robbery occurred at 10:40 p.m. on Aug. 24.

The suspects are described as three black males, 18 to 19 years old, wearing black ski masks and dark clothing. No further description was available.

Central High School District officials said they were unaware of the robbery and did not know if it happened on or off of school grounds.
