South High faculty softball game

Posted

Valley Stream South High School raised $2,500 for the Hewlett House on June 8 by hosting a faculty softball game. Three seniors organized the event and coached the two teams to raise money in honor of two South teachers who are currently battling breast cancer. Thirty-six teachers participated in the game that saw a great turnout of spectators — many wearing pink.

“It was a really positive event,” said Assistant Principal Kara Jacobson, “a great way to end the school year.”
