Fair Storm drops 2 and half inches of winter mix on Valley Stream

A storm dropped 2 and half inches of a wintery mix of snow and sleet on Valley Stream throughout the day on Thursday. At around 4 p.m. about 1 to 2 inches of additional snow was possible, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm was minor compared the previous two to hit the area, including a nor’easter on Feb. 1 that dropped more than a foot of snow onto the neighborhood. The village advised residents to keep cars off the streets throughout the day as to not block village snowplows.
