Teen robbed at gunpoint in Valley Stream

A teenager was robbed at gunpoint while walking down a side street in Valley Stream late Tuesday night.
According to Nassau County Police, at 10:30 p.m. on July 5, a 15-year-old male was walking on Putnam Avenue when an unknown man drove by, got out of his car and approached the victim. The suspect displayed a gun and demanded the teen's valuables.
Police say the teen handed over cash and his cell phone. The suspect then got back into the car, a dark-colored vehicle with a light bumper and loud exhaust, and fled southbound on Putnam Avenue.
No one was injured. The suspect is described an unknown black male, with no further description available.
