Three things to know about Valley Stream's summer events before the season ends

Summer may be winding down, but there is still plenty happening in Valley Stream. From outdoor concerts and poolside entertainment to classic car nights, residents still have opportunities to enjoy local events before the season ends.

1.  The Summer Concert Series continues with free outdoor performances

Valley Stream’s Summer Concert Series remains one of the village’s biggest seasonal attractions, offering residents free opportunities to enjoy live music outdoors.

This year’s schedule includes tribute performances celebrating popular artists and bands, along with evenings featuring different musical styles, such as classic rock, Motown, R&B, reggae, Latin and jazz.

The series continues into September, allowing the community to enjoy live entertainment even as summer transitions into fall. Residents should check the official village schedule for performance dates, locations and weather-related updates.

2. Pool Movie Nights and Dance Concerts offer evening entertainment for families

The Valley Stream Pool Complex continues its summer lineup with special evening events that provide residents with entertainment beyond regular pool hours.

The village’s summer schedule includes Pool Movie Nights featuring family-friendly films, allowing guests to enjoy movies in a unique outdoor pool setting. The pool also hosts Dance Concerts featuring live music and entertainment.

These events add variety to the village’s seasonal programming by combining recreation, music and family activities. Admission requirements vary by event, and residents should review the official schedule for dates, ticket information and participation details.

3. Classic Car Shows bring weekly community gatherings to Rockaway Avenue

Valley Stream’s annual Classic Car Shows continue to bring residents and visitors together for evenings centered around vintage vehicles, music and community connection.

The weekly events feature a variety of classic automobiles displayed along Rockaway Avenue, creating a family-friendly atmosphere for car enthusiasts and spectators of all ages. The Summer Recreation Guide lists multiple car show dates throughout the summer, including special themed evenings such as the Mayor’s Trophy Night.

The shows continue through late August, giving residents several more chances to attend before summer ends.
