Nassau County Police are seeking the men who committed two separate robberies outside a Valley Stream movie theater Thursday evening.

According to detectives, a 14-year-old male was approached by a group of men in the rear parking lot of Sunrise Multiplex Cinemas on Feb. 24 at 10:27 p.m. One of the robbers produced a silver handgun and another took out a knife. They demanded the teen's belongings, then went through his pockets stealing a cell phone and a Metro Card. The robbers also took the victim's bicycle and fled westbound across the parking lot and through an opening in the fence.

Twenty minutes later, a 44-year-old woman was walking through the same parking lot when she was approached by a group of four men, one of them on a bicycle. Again, one of the robbers took out a handgun and another a knife. They took her handbag, cell phone, shopping bags and wallet. The group then fled back through the opening in the fence and south onto Hook Creek Boulevard and into Rosedale, Queens.

The subjects are described as black males in their late teens and early 20s, wearing dark-colored clothing and hooded sweatshirts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will be kept anonymous.
