Girl Scout Troops 2124 and 2033 members got together on Saturday to make some seasonal adjustments to the Farm at Oyster Bay.
Valley Stream South High School student Allyce Yang, 16, built a cold frame greenhouse to grow vegetables in as fall frost approaches. The structure served as her Gold Award project, which challenges girls to identify an issue in their community that they can take action to address, according to the Girl Scouts website.
