Valley Stream Little League celebrates Family Day at Rolling River Camp

The clouds cleared and the rain stopped as if a game had been scheduled needed to be played, but instead the Valley Stream Little League reveled in the change of weather for its Family Day celebration.

Held at Rolling River Camp in East Rockaway on Sept. 13, more than 200 people took part in a day that included event organizers, Allen Cordova, Matias Cordova, James Fischman, Joann Healey and Chuck Norton, playing baseball, basketball and soccer, pizza, pretzels and soft drinks.  

Valley Stream Little League’s fall season is in full swing now and includes Tee ball, farms, where the coaches pitch, the minors and majors, where the players pitch. The league also has softball.
