Woman robbed of iPhone in Valley Stream
Nassau County Police are investigating a robbery in the Green Acres shopping center on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, at 3 p.m. on Sept. 7, an 18-year-old woman was walking through the back parking lot of Sunrise Multiplex Cinemas and, as she neared Walmart, was approached from behind by an unknown man. The suspect grabbed her and put his hand over her mouth. He then demanded her phone, and grabbed her iPhone before fleeing.
The robber fled westbound through the parking lot and through a gate, onto 250th Street in Rosedale. The woman was not injured.
The suspect is described as a black man, 5-foot-11, average build with black braids wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, red boxer shorts and black pants.
