Calhoun, Kennedy and Mepham high schools will end their school day at 1:30 p.m. today, and Grand Avenue and Merrick Avenue middle schools will end their school day at 2:15 p.m. There will be no late buses at any of the schools, and all afternoon and evening activities in the district are cancelled. more
The Bellmore-Merrick Bulldogs, the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District’s hockey team, was not playing for conference standings or athletic trophies on the evening of Dec. 2 at Newbridge Arena in Bellmore. The squad was playing to bring the holiday season home to underprivileged children. more
