The Baldwin Union Free School District is launching a community-wide initiative to celebrate the people, programs and accomplishments that drive local pride.

Running throughout the 2026-27 school year, the “We Are Baldwin” campaign will invite students, staff, families, alumni, residents and local businesses to share photos, news and memories tied to the district and community.

Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag “WeAreBaldwin” on social media and other communications. District officials said the initiative is intended to strengthen local connections between Baldwin schools and the wider community. It also aims to showcase student achievements, dedicated educators, alumni, athletics, arts programs and community partnerships.

“We are excited to launch the ‘We Are Baldwin Initiative’ to celebrate the countless points of pride that make Baldwin such a special place to live,” Superintendent Anthony Mignella wrote in a statement. “The success of our schools is intrinsically linked to the strength of our community, and this collaborative effort provides an opportunity to promote the stories that encapsulate the spirit of what it means to be a Baldwinite.”

The campaign will also highlight academic success across the district, including Baldwin High School’s 99 percent graduation rate.

Baldwin schools are bringing the initiative inside their buildings as well. Students returning for the new school year were greeted by new wall wraps featuring Baldwin students, updated signage and expanded use of the district’s signature blue and gold colors.

District officials said they hope the campaign will reinforce a shared sense of pride and belonging across generations of Baldwin students, educators, families and residents.
