Children and their families participated in an afternoon of interactive activities at a Purim game show and carnival sponsored by the United Synagogue Youth Groups of the East Meadow Jewish Center and Temple Beth-El of Bellmore last Sunday. The party, hosted at Temple Beth-El in Bellmore, included a live game show and carnival games, prizes, music and food.
Purim commemorates the deliverance of the Jews to safety in the ancient Persian empire during the fifth century B.C. when threatened by Haman the Agagite.
